I've happily done the long leg between Dubai and Oz blisses out listening to FourTet's back catalogue.

The gentle snoring of my other half in the passenger seat on most long driving journeys.

The payback is her having to listen to me snore through most flights.

Recently have been listening to The Warlord Chronicles by Bernard Cornwell on Audible.

Not sure if I will continue with the Audible subscription after that though.

Otherwise podcasts about history, Python programming and Manchester City.

Also use the music streaming service bundled with Amazon Prime. Limited choice but cannot justify another subscription for the full service.

There are some gems on BBC Sounds which I delve into on occasion.

In the car - 6Music most of the time, but if there’s no one on I want to listen to, I select my phone and let it play on shuffle - it’s got around 40,000 tracks on it, so there’s always something different playing.

Commuting drive would be either Audible Books or various podcasts after a Grand Prix, Chequered Flag or Autosport, depending how nerdy I felt.

Shorter drives in residential areas, or where I'll meet a number of other drivers - nothing. Need my concentration to dodge the looniez when they drive into the same space I'm trying to occupy legally.

Longer drives on desert highways next to the Empty Quarter - audio books with some humour. Keeps my concentration from turning ragged. The Martian (original narrator) worked out quite well one solo drive from Riyadh to Abu dhabi
