Wife wants a camera for xmas - budget of £160ish.

For general use - family pics, holidays etc.

I've got absolutely no idea!!

Something like a Panasonic TZ-8? Maybe a Sony HX7.

Have a look on www.dpreview.com - plenty of reviews & info there.

This looks like a pretty good offer:

As does this if you can stretch the budget a bit:

My recommendation of the HX7 above might be a bit over budget - I meant the HX5...

Funnily enough I've just been getting my Panasonic TZ5 together to sell.

9.1 MP
and 10x zoom

Its been an amazing camera and I was telling my other half I was selling it and she was quite shocked. It has been my go to camera (and I have a lot of cameras) when ever I've needed a good camera that is light and with a good zoom.

I have the original box and it has a hard protective carry case with it.

I'm selling it for £70

It'll save you a bit of money.

Me not sure either 🙂 Sent you an email. although the photos are pretty difficult to take when the camera you normally use is the one you're taking the pictures of 🙂

I'd misread it as Esther, who is a member of the forum!
