Getting home on Friday, followed by a normal weekend of household jobs and a proper bike ride.

Been lovely seeing the kids with their grandparents this week but I need to get away from the temptation of too much excess food!

Lots of stuff,

Spring
Heading home from work whilst it's still light.
Alps in summer for my 40th
Mrs Jay heading to NYC with our eldest to visit her sister, she really deserves it and hasn't left Europe before.
New Car in Spring, maybe.
Youngest starting school nursery in a few months which will slightly dent the huge in childcare costs.

I'm looking forward to 2017.

The end of 2016. A truly miserable and traumatic year. 2017 can only be better.

Oh and my 50th birthday new bike... Jones or Rourke, Jones or Rourke, of something titanium and fixed or...

And my second Cat race license. Bwahahahahaha!

Loads of things.

I have a list that gets longer as I age. Some things happen, some don't but the list always gets longer irrespective.

Cycling plans next year 4000+ miles of events so far.

But the bottom line, be happy.

my house refurbishment being finished in another month

paying off any loan I might have to take out to pay for the extra my savings won't cover

meeting up with a girl from an online dating site I have been chatting to a lot

building up my new (3.0) flux

losing a stone (or maybe more) of weight

riding my bikes again as they have been lying fallow since the separation/house move/refurbishment

I'm 52. It's the result of a cam acetabular impingement. I'd have had it done last year, but a fall from a bike set up a soft tissue injury (a morel lavalee lesion....) that has refused to heal, so they need to involve a plastic surgeon to manage the wound.

Annual works xmas MTB ride tomorrow. Everyone brings leftover cake and we ride in big circles, returning to the cars to eat cake every lap, until we're knackered and bloated.

Ankle healing up properly after breaking it back badly in September! Long recovery.

New Year party. Hosting it and everyone's has miraculously managed to ship kids off to babysitters!

Our business hopefully doing well in 2017. In the balance at the moment.

Generally hoping 2017 will be better than 2016. Had some tough challenges this year.

Walking/lying/sitting with less pain as rehab progresses.

Maybe riding a bike again. That would be extraordinarily satisfying.

Also looking fwd to giving dad a minty retro nitanium mtb for birthday.

> A few days away to a nice holiday cottage on the east coast of scotland.
> Getting back to spending weekeends at the caravan, and accompanying walks and trips to the pub. Won't be able to go all of January due to various reasons
> A week at the caravan in February with hopefully lots of mountain biking, caravan is opposite Dalbeattie 7 stanes..
> Riding to and from work in daylight, riding approx 160 miles a week in the dark is hard going
> Spring
> A week in Spain at the beginning of April
> Paying off our mortgage
> Subsequent increase in disposable income due to the above

That takes me up to April and will do for now.
