Few of us rode Cutgate from Fairhomes last night, same conditions, met 2 blokes at the Carin just chilling, full loop was riding dry and fast.

Pretty sure we heard a Chinook but couldn't see it. Did see a couple of campfires on the opposite shore/tree line as we rode along the fire road of Upper Derwent, could've been dropped off or maybe fishermen on an all nighter.

It's perfect everywhere round there at the mo. I met a guy tonight who commutes on Cut Gate from Stocksbridge - lucky bugger!

Lucky indeed. Not sure I'd want to ride it every day though, I'd have nowt in the legs for weekend.

Got to be one of the best and driest rides over Cutgate ever at the moment.

Rode Macc Forest last Sat as part of a loop and even in the depths its bone dry and dusty, just makes you want to get out more
