(not after an Ipad)

just a 7" tablet on android with a half decent screen, isnt laggy, cna watch movies either from a micro SD card or a USB stick.

Budget up to £120

I'm afraid I'd have to recommend a Tesco Hudl 2. Not sure if its 7" or a bit bigger but they do seem to offer good VFM. Also you can buy them with Tesco vouchers if you have enough.

you can pick a Linx windows 8 tablet for £99. Never seen one but gets good reviews. Also Hisense Sero 8 for £69....again never seen one but a lot of good reviews.

A year or so ago. I think it's basically the original Nexus 7 and a bargain at that price - in fact, tempted to get my parents' one for Christmas....

EDIT - ah, no. It was the Sero 7 Pro, I was thinking of.

At £120 the Hudl2 is a no brainer.
