Anyone got an idea of conditions on/up the west coast at present?

Meant to be heading up the west highland way later in the week, and just wondering if its all soggy now or still snowy? i assume glasgow is wet. But any clue about further up?

I would think the WHW might be quite nice just now. Certainly in the Glencoe area it is around about zero, so the ground is quite hard without much mud and sogginess. A bit of snow up high, but nothing lower down to speak of.

Happy New Year Ollie.

Was up that way (Spean Bridge) at Xmas time.

It was -10 ish until about Xmas day then it thawed massively. Seems to have started freezing again which might mean lots of water-ice, particularly on paths and on cross-path drainage.

Certainly the case on Ben Ledi on Hogmanay - needed crampons for quick progress.
