I think there might be a couple of afficionados on here. Just wondering if these things have any value and are worth trying to restore (if that is even possible)?
Having a tidy up and found my old one (Motorist model) but it is a bit tired.
I like them (SAKs) but not so much that I know much about collectability. Have a look on Etsy ?
Which reminds me, I have a unused Victorinox Camp Flame sitting in a drawer that I need to sell. Best polish it up!
SAKs are mostly restorable if just a clean, sharpen, hone, polish, maybe small repairs ie nicks/chips? Replace tweezers, toothpick. Depends I suppose how ‘tired’ is ‘tired’ 😉
More substantial repairs would assumedly require a donor multitool and dismantling.
I don't know how it works for Wenger knives but I have sent my two Victorinox penknives back to the distributor for servicing and they have come back good as new. I was staggered how good they were after servicing. Best of all it was totally free
I brought my dad's Victorinox huntsman back from a terrible state after he died, he was a chain smoker and kept it in his ashtray for the bottle opener which was permanently open for his wheat beers. Scales off and half a dozen cycles through an Aldi ultrasonic cleaner with some detergent, then the tiniest dab of grease and some light oil and it's good as new. The scales have a couple of scorches, but I don't mind that as it keeps it "his".
Not sure of your model but this is defo the place to ask/research …

I’ve got a small hoard of retro stuff I’ve picked up over the years sitting in the loft as a ‘nest egg’ with a few wenger knives. One of which is the voyager model in mint condition. I picked 7 up in a car boot bundle for a cool £5, current price for a used voyager is either side of £400 depending on the weather.
Mines MINT 😎
I believe victorinox now own the wenger name so maybe they will refurb it?
