I've got a lovely little Weber q1200..runs off small canisters at the mo.
I've got a 5kg patio gas canister for my pizza oven.

You can get an official Weber adapter for about £40 (!) that simply screws into the CURRENT regulator on the Weber.

For about £15 I can get a simple hose/regulator/screw end.

Anyone replaced the hosing on their weber like this?
What size is the screw thread at the BBQ end?

Googling "DIY Weber gas adapter" doesn't bring up much..

Ta muchly!

i just cut the weber one off and fitted a propane 50mB regulator.

If you still want to run the little cans in the future - get some orange gas hose and Gas tite snap tites (think External BBQ points on camper vans)

Set up your BBQ with a female end

Set up both your regulators with males and swap as required.

I did this to save me having to remove the regulator from the propane bottle when swapping between BBQ and pizza oven

Total cost was about 20 quid but was worth it.

Yep, what TR said.
I've got the same BBQ and cut the hose and fitted quick release fittings (I guess that's what TR has the proper name for) so I can either run it off the little cannisters or a 15kg bottle in the beach hut.

Works perfectly.

cheers...

I just rang a really useful gas fitting shop, and it seems that weber use 6mm hose, and my ooni will be 8mm...

aaand... only OLDER webers can have the brass fitting/hose removed and replaced...

So, it looks like my plan is scuppered!!

Oh well.... The ideal would have been to have actually jsut got 2 pairs of click-connectors as you suggested, then I could run the pizza oven off the smaller canister too...!

EDIT - just seen sharkbait's post... so you've a weber q1000 range, and fitted hose adaptors?

My Weber's a q2200 and uses 8mm hose. Oh well ignore me.

You might also be scuppered as most regulators for full size bottles use 8mm barbs.

How ever I so know rusty Mac has a q1000 series and bought the same kit as me..... Will check with him
