the OP's right regardless of where it started - find me another garment that gets as much attention for the opposite sex (other than a mankini, no woman could be expected to resist that)

I love the kilt but I can't abide the bonny prince charlie rig, I had to wear one for a wedding recently and it's horrible. Stupid tackety shoes, complicated laces you can't work when you're pissed... Some sort of multi-layered jackety-vesty thing. And a bloody wingtip shirt to cap it off with a bow tie balanced on top. Basically it's all just to counterbalance the awesometude of the kilt.

Wedding before that was trailboots, thick socks, kilt, a proper shirt, and a motorbike jacket, sorted.
