machine working fine, however after a wash has finished a small puddle ( about hte same as spilling halk a cup of water, appears just in front of the left front corner of the machine, its a zanussi jetsystem machine and the filter is just above this although i have checked this and its clear.

Its a Zanussi, prone to leaks they be.
Do you have hard water? Could the outlet pipe be blocked up with limescale/gunge?
drop the side panel off and have a look to see if there are any hoses in that area. if so, pop them off, clear them out (or replace them). I've just been playing the same game with the tumble dryer today.
