As the Japanese would have it, the beauty of imperfection. Also, things that might be, but have somehow failed to happen. Yet.

I find this to be a useful concept - and regularly employ it as justification for my archaic bike set-up, or as a means of dealing with the usual awkward disappointments of adult life.

So, what gets ya through the day/existence? (pron, beer & bikes are all vaild answers - but others welcome).

So it's an acceptance and admiration of wobbles, squeaks, tattyness and unconventionally lovely things.

I've got some big paint scrapes on my frame that were made by my mate's bike carrier when we went riding on Exmoor. They made me angry, but now they just remind me of the good time we had.

Wrinkles are made by smiles.

I like wabi sabi. Not so much the beauty of imperfection, but the appreciation of wear and tear.

I also like beausage - beauty through usage.
