How do i get rid of it permanently? I'd google - but the results come back in geek speak .

It was read only, I changed this, moved it, and it still doesn't bloody work. Every time I log on again, it's back.

Is it a folder you created or a system / program created folder?
shift+delete may get rid.
Are you logged on with full admin rights?

Are you on an office network?

Ok, so it's not a roaming profile that's causing the issue. Is it just the empty folder that is coming back? If so, it may be that an application you used to store or create files in the folder is expecting it to be there and is recreating it.

What type of files were you storing temporarily? Google shows Windows Media Player to be the culprit in a lot of cases - the path for the rip directory in particular.

ah interesting - the rip folder is indeed that one. I'd used it when creating some podcasts a couple of months back.

Now I'll just wait for the reboot and see what happens. Cheers torso.
