Just got a pair of these - wow, wish I'd discovered them decades ago, I'd have saved a fortune in recreational drugs

Wears off pretty quickly, though. Mine are Multipoint varifocal, and the world goes very weird if you hold them up and look through them, rather than putting them on. 😯

into my second week of wearing mine full time (except when on bike). They are ok as long as I don't think about it 😮

Distance is great, glancing around is weird due to blurring. Reading is good and less eye strain, but print does appear 'different' and not totally used to it yet. I did pop back to opticians and get them to check centres/transistion etc and all ok. Bigger problem is that I have gone from very light frames with conventional ear pads to slightly heavier overall specs with temple fit legs and they hurt my head...... going back next week to see what options are if no better.

distance was always ok for me - close up (counting money/ keyboarding) was difficult, used to take them off or peer over under frames. Stairs are interesting, all blurry and weird.
+1 on glancing and peripheral vision.
Still at least the keyboard is staying still now, not floating around every time I move my head.

Tried them, returned them. Went back to the bifocals I'm perfectly happy with.

Other than "weirdness" the big downer was driving. Checking from nearside wing mirror to offside wing mirror (I spend a lot of time driving vans) was a nightmare when I had to turn the head through 90 degrees rather than mainly moving the eyes.

I think on balance mine are an improvement, but I do notice when I pop my distance ones back on, when on the bike, that it's 'nicer' apart from close work....

yes, was thinking about just leaving the varis in the office and wearing normals the rest of the time. except I do like being in the pub looking at my hand and seeing the money, not just a blurry haze of brown and silver.
