Having bought my first ever van in the last week I am looking for tips and tricks for storage/carriage of bikes and gear.

Mine is a LWB Trafic with a Crew Cabin. The rear section has a closed off bulk head and can take a bike full length without need to remove front wheel or turning bars.

At the moment I am just bungee tying it using the exist hooks in the bulkhead front and rear. But looking to have some storage for gear, helmets, shoes etc in the form of a plywood shelf/drawer setup.

If anyone has pics of this type of setup I would appreciate ideas/inspiration for my setup 🙂

TIA

Damon

I will often need 3 or 4 bikes accommodated.

Some netting, straps and hooks on the side linings is cheap, holds helmets/pads/bads etc and leaves the load area clear for bikes, washing machines, pallets and all the other random stuff you can't carry if you fit racks. A few big sheets of cardboard for between the bikes is good.

If it isn't already, ply line to the roof to avoid handlebar dings in the side panels.
