so moving shortly and looking to cancel the virgin account.

will i be able to use my virgin hd box as a freeview box?

is it just a case of pluggin in the terestrial arial to the back?

will i be able to record?

No, won't work. The aeriel connection is for plugging into a really old tv with no scart.

Don't forget that you don't own the Virgin box, you only rent it from them, so when you cancel I would imagine they will want it back!

Yep as stated, Virgin own the box and will chase you to the ends of the earth to get it back.

no they dont, they had some end of stock about 18 months ago, they called me and offered it for a one off payment of £25, and no monthly fee!

its identical to the newer ones though as far as i can see....

but the new landlord doesnt mind me getting it fitted, virgin are doing it for free and have nocked some off the bill too, cant reall grumble at that.
