My burglar alarm is going off, and will keep going off until a battery is replaced by an electrian...
Also need some light switches done.. can you please recommend someone before my hearing gives out.

Have you tried removing the fuse from the power supply, unplugging the battery and reconnecting it? Either that or try city electrical factors.
