My son has managed to accidently format his hard drive and has no Windows recovery disc but has a disc with Linux Ubuntu on it. He's tried to boot up from the Linux disc but can't, is there any way to install Linux without Windows.

Managed to do a pxe install over the net with no disk drive once over, can't find any links now though.
Thanks I'm presently downloading Ubuntu and will send it to him, he's in Leeds and I'm in Preston which doesn't help really.
Oh I should add that I'm a complete cretin when it comes to computers but Josh is obviously worse 😀
I inserted my Shatir solutions linux cd into the wheely bin, thats how good it is.
