on 5 Live last night, they interviewed these 2 very white middle class (?) republican womon in one of the flyover states and asked them about the lies and shenanigans that Trump sprouts and basically their reason for voting for him was that he's a good Christian and not a socialist like Obama!
not a socialist like Obama!
Always fun to ask them what "socialism" actually is.
Answers usually dissolve into a rant about abortions or antifa.
Actually turned into GMB this morning to catch the Farage getting into an argument with the Piers over how well the Trumpski handled covid and that disinfectant comment.
Very strange times.
No ones going to get to 270 based on the current numbers are they?
Then what?
CNN just walked through a possible path, Biden got 270 without Pennsylvania as long as he holds what he's leading. The Secretary of State just hinted they might get their ballots processed earlier than Friday now.
Does he just not understand how this works?

I must have missed the bit in the Bible about getting your son to pay off a porn star and setting up a fraudulent university.
A look at the Guardian map shows a strong Biden story, if I am reading this right.
e.g. Michigan - Trump is about 50k ahead, however Wayne County (which includes Detroit) currently has 88% of votes in and over 250k Biden votes already. The remaining unfinished counties don't seem to contain enough Trump voters to offset that. I could get Excel out but I can't be bothered.
I wish someone had an API for all this data. In fact, they must do somewhere.
he’s a good Christian
And that right there sums up the sheer stupidity of the core trump supporter
Not only are they basing their vote on religious persuasion, but they actually beleive Donald Trump, a man who cheats on his wife with hookers and has never been to church in his life, is a good christian.
This and brexit are prime examples of why democracy isn't always a good idea. There are just far too many gullible & stupid people given a say in how things are done, when realistically, they probably struggle to tie their own shoe laces from one day to the next.
has never been to church in his life
Fake news! He had the police violently clear peaceful protesters out of his way so he could stand outside one holding a bible for a photo op...
No ones going to get to 270 based on the current numbers are they?
Why, is someone else going to pick some up?
This and brexit are prime examples of why democracy isn’t always a good idea.
They are both examples of why democracy is a good idea. Neither will result in genocide, war, civil war, the countries going bankrupt, marshal law, militias, extreme poverty for the majority or any of a host of ills that generally afflict totalitarian systems.

Didn't dare go inside, though
. Shame really, I've never seen a pumpkin self-immolate.
Biden up in Michigan, Nevada and Wisconsin win those and its done surely?
One of the most irritating thing that has come out of Trumpsters is the "he speaks his mind" reason for voting trump. ****s.
Yup, exactly 270.
Biden up in Michigan, Nevada and Wisconsin win those and its done surely?
Only if he exceeds 1% margin. Otherwise it'll be recounts and shit from trumps team.
Neither will result in genocide, war, civil war, the countries going bankrupt, marshal law, militias, extreme poverty for the majority or any of a host of ills that generally afflict totalitarian systems.
That's a checklist of just about everything the US has done in the last 70 years.
Why, is someone else going to pick some up?
when I last looked at the AP map, adding the light shaded votes to the AP called dark shades States didn't add up to 270 in either case.
DC has 3 EV and Maine and Nebraska have 1 congressional district vote each. The total EVs is 538.
Edit: 100 to represent the 100 Senators, 435 for the Representatives and 3 for DC because it's not a state and doesn't have Senators or Representatives.
CNn seem to have given Wisconsin to Biden. If he holds Arizona, gets Michigan, (still doubtful, IMHO) then Trump needs to run 4.
Does anyone know what’s happening with AZ? Rumour was that they found a load more postal votes…
Also interesting:
https://twitter.com/aseitzwald/status/1324095568315060236?s=20
AZ seems stalled. Biden still up by around 100,000 at 86% estimated votes counted.
Trump's crack legal team are hot-footing it to Pennsylvania for a presser...

Hell yeah
Trump’s crack legal team
Do you mean the Hunter Biden type of "crack"?
Does he just not understand how this works?
I reckon he knows EXACTLY how it works. The question is, do you know how he works?

So did anyone actually "stay up" on election night under the assumption that they'd see this thing finished?
Apparently it's ok to find more ballots and keep counting in AZ because they are claiming it's been called too early for Biden.
All the states that offered a vote on legalizing herb, have voted for it.
So whichever way it goes, maybe the yanks will be more chilled about the result than predicted.
AZ seems stalled. Biden still up by around 100,000 at 86% estimated votes counted.
The map on NYT says they're getting the ballots from the county where Phoenix is in by 9pm Eastern tonight.
One of the most irritating thing that has come out of Trumpsters is the “he speaks his mind” reason for voting trump. ****.
In general I don't think that's a bad thing to support, given how many politicians say precicely nothing, no matter how many times they're interviewed. The problem here is that Trump's mind closely resembles a diseased, prolapsed anus, jetting putrid filth all over the internet.
5th elephant. As someone who has worked with people with dementia for decades I see no sign of it at all in Biden. Maybe some signs in Trump
Drac wins the internet today.
Apparently it’s ok to find more ballots and keep counting in AZ because they are claiming it’s been called too early for Biden.
The irony of this position is no doubt lost on the vast majority of Trumpers
Utterly shameless
Drac wins the internet today.
Wish it was my work.
Agreed TJ Trump definitely shows signs of early dementia.

What’s wrong with him then? Stroke? Brain damage?
He introduced himself as Joe Biden’s wife. Called Trump George (and had to be corrected by his wife). Regularly comes up with word jumbles (badakacare amongst others). Introduced, at length, his dead son, who was his granddaughter, then got her name wrong and corrected himself to then call her the ‘other one’. He called himself grandmother. He even boasted of the greatest election fraud system ever devised.
Once is fine. But it’s every time he talks.
When he was VP he was eloquent. There is no comparison now. Just compare now with 10 years ago.
It’ll be the Harris administration.

As someone who has had several members of my family suffer and succumb to dementia and seen their demise over several years with my own eyes, I see all the tell tale signs of it in the small snippets of Biden I've seen. Especially the you compare him now to footage of him from 20 years ago so so. What a disaster. All the democrats had to do was put someone half decent up in front of Trump and instead they chose a senile old man with a dodgy past.
What a terrible choice the American people have had presented before them. Even worse than Corbyn vs. Boris. It isn't a race to the bottom. We've already hit rock bottom on both sides of the Atlantic.
Called Trump George
No, he didn't.
He was responding to a question from someone called George.
But it’s every time he talks.
Sure. If you only watch him on compilations put together by Trump's PR team. You really have swallowed the Trump-branded Kool Aid haven't you.
No, he didn’t.
Did he think he was really running against George Bush then? Which one do you think he meant?
Regularly comes up with word jumbles (badakacare amongst others).

Arguing over non-existent diagnoses is a losing battle. Trump's an awful president. Biden is a terrible candidate, especially when you look at all the excellent candidates the DNC had to choose from.
The Democrats completely misunderstood the appeal of Trump. They thought he got in because he is an old, straight white guy, so fielded their own. The Democrats have become so blinded by identity politics they thought that matching like with like would get them through.
Trump won because he's an outsider and an anomaly, if he wins again, it will be for the same reason.
Which one do you think he meant?
As above, the guy called George he was responding to.
This could get ugly

(I mean it's a handful of morons right now, but it only takes one militia nut with an AR15 to act on what trump is telling them )
