I don't use Adobe Reader so use PDF-Xchange Viewer from here [url= http://www.tracker-software.com/product/downloads ]PDF-xchange[/url]. Far better but when you download to install make sure you unchecked the other search tool bar ...

I've managed to cut and paste text from word on to a pdf form, but it leaves a red box round the text.

Not directly but you can use insert text box.

if the PDF is set up correctly then yes, all my Oz visa forms were done this way. If not it will be a PITA (all my Oz customs forms weren't)
