Help required please?
Don't know if this has been done before, but my 'following' appears to have been abused in some way. I am now following literally hundreds of people that I have not chosen to follow.
Anybody know how this happens? Some sort of hack?
I've spent the last 30+ minutes 'unfollowing' hundreds. Q weird particularly as many of them tweet in Arabic or Chinese so not much use to my twitter interest.
I had this. Changed my password and it fixed it.
Those sites that offer to get you new followers ? This is how they do it. Add. Above, change your password.

Looking at some of these people they follow a handful of people yet have tens of thousands of followers. Are they buying them I some way? (Which would be kind of deluded)
Thanks for the advice. I've removed over 500 rogue tweeter accounts that I had been 'following'. Ultimately it will backfire on twitter as peoples feeds will be full of stuff that they have little or no interest in. Muppets.
I deleted my account when that happened, hadn't used it for months anyway. They followed a load of Arabic folk and favourited a couple of tweets.
Very odd, didn't seem malicious that I could tell.
