It's Tuesday. It's Lunchtime. It's the time when my mind wanders inevitably to the subject of pies.

So, what's your pie of pies?

Here's mine:

The steak and kidney. The Granddaddy of Pie.

* Lunch today = chicken/salad wraps. Damn pie calories *

Dagnabit. It's a pie... or maybe a pudding... recipe says it's pie.

Now let the taste sensation flows over you.

We're just off out for a Moo Pie and a Wild Mushroom and Asparagus Pie at the delightfully named Pi. We may just have to sample some of their fine ales too. 😀

Edit: I may try Heidi Pie instead - not sure yet.

Lady Gresley - is that in the Peoples Republic of Chorlton? I love the Matador pies there. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I'd like to nominate the Cheese and Onion pie at the Major in Ramsbottom. Stu the landlord makes 'em with proper tasty lancs. Tangy cheesy fantasticness!! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I'm starving now!!!

Wild Mushroom and Asparagus Pie

How in the name of all that is pie can mushroom and asparagus be classified an authentic pie filling?

These are proper pie ingredients:

Ingredient 1: MEAT

Ingredient 2: GRAVY

Ingredient 3: 'TATERS

Ingredient 4: CARROTS

That is all

EDIT: I can claim authority on this one. Two-ish years ago I put on two stone because Sayers were doing meat and potato pies on a 2 for £1 deal. I know pies.

DrP, the sight of your pie almost makes me want to cry.

Nice touch with that salad! Why that plate is virtually a health food!

No Matador Pie at Pi today 🙁
The website menu doesn't seem to match what they actually have at the moment.

Doesn't matter where they were made, it's where you eat them that counts.
