Evening STW

2 of us are travelling to Poland over the Christmas period, and i can't work out the customs regulations. Can anybody help?

Firstly, we are wanting to take to Poland some alcohol which is only available here in the UK. Are the restrictions the same as below?
Secondly travelling back.. Looking at the list below, I am presuming it is per person? So 2 of us bring back double? And
And if (for example) we buy 800 cigarettes, can we also bring back 1kg of tobacco? Or is it a mixture of everything..

If it makes a difference we are driving out, so it doesn't have to go on a plane!
My worry is going through Germany, I know they can be a little strict!

Import regulations::
Free import to passengers arriving with goods purchased within the EU which are for personal use only:
1. tobacco products:
- 800 cigarettes;
- 400 cigarillos (max. 3g each);
- 200 cigars;
- 1kg smoking tobacco;
2. alcoholic beverages:
- 10 litres of spirits over 22%;
- 20 litres of alcoholic beverages less than 22%;
- 90 litres of wine (though no more than 60 litres of sparkling wine);
- 110 litres of beer.

Thanks guys,

there are no customs regs travelling across EU borders as you are. The only thing you need to be able to defend is whether its for personal consumption rather than onward sale, and even then, they need decent intel to make any rash claims or seizures.

I thought that within the EU, you can take as much as you want. These limits are guidelines and if you're over that, you may have to convince them that they are for personal use and not to be sold.

Thanks guys..
I had a feeling that was the case, but wanted to make sure. How would you go about proving it was a personal use?
