We will be in touch
Any fellow singletrackers heading over for the September version?
I'm booked up and can't wait. Be cool to hear from any other who have ridden out there.
Currently panic fitness and skills training.
Having seen this post was the first I'd heard of it. The video, etc looks great! I signed up to the mailing lists and they have got spaces for this year...
Maybe next year, I'll be interested to hear how you get on and how techy/death-defying the trails are.
Sorry, just spotted your reply @johnnystorm
I was 50/50 about entering for fear that the trails would be out of my ability. But speaking to a few who have raced it previously and fingers crossed it's a nice balance.
Bike is boxed up and we fly on Wednesday. Feel free to message me during/after and I'm happy to give any information.
Can not wait to get there now.
Did a week with freeride in December 2019. Amazing place to ride. Weather makes a huge difference to difficulty though. A lot of it is pretty chill, but they do enjoy a steep corner! The Freeride guys were superb, would absolutely recommend them.
yeah, it brilliant out there, you'll have a great time.
I havent done the race (i'm far too slow), but have done a few days of guided riding with freeride madeira, its really good.
Ah we've heard a lot about their microclimate and riding through all seasons in a day.
@militantmandy does the weather make a big difference on the soil/grip etc?
@julians we also have a day with Freeride Madeira this Saturday to get used to the terrain great to hear the positive reviews, they have been incredible in the lead up.
We will not be troubling the leader board and are going very much with an aim to finish the race and enjoy some beers at the party after.
