Dear Hive Mind.

while i appreciate that Northamptonshire is not known as an MTB Mecca, i hope one of you knows a bit about eating out in Towcester.

A family wedding tomorrow will see 5 adults and two kids (under five) looking for a nice pub for a bite to eat late afternoon (1630)

Anybody recommend anything please, before i run the gauntlet that is the wider internet/trip adviser..

The Green Man down the road toward Silverstone is nice if a bit up itself (racing drivers pub apparently). Off the A43 I think??

a couple of pubs in centre do generic pub- food, though no proper 'gastro' offers I can think of in the town.

if you can be bothered to drive to stoke bruerne there's a couple more options plus canal-side walks etc.

not sure of opening times etc....

Stoke bruerne is probably you're best bet tbh. Northampton is a shit hole.

cheers

im struggling with food at that time - because of the wedding time, it will be lunch, not sure if people will be able to hang in till 1800 for food.

currently looking at the Fox & Hounds in Whittlebury - near the reception, or Bull & Butcher in Akeley which is also local
