It pains me to say after recent forum activities, but TJ and Elf are among the main bastions of common sense here.

Oh god. They will think they are invincible now. Quick, someone pass me the rubber bullets and CS gas.

I blame…

Single mothers, obviously. With a slight whiff of 'of course, that lot don't have dads around, do they?' Grand Theft Auto. Kids don't understand the difference between video games and real life nowadays! Twitter. For allowing people to communicate with each other. And because people on Twitter were nasty about this lovely newspaper when we had our slight little tiny problems a couple of weeks ago (which thankfully everyone's forgotten about now!) The Left. Everyone on the Left, especially people who might have protested about things in the past. Not just the Left, but particularly the Left. Which brings me to UKUncut. Because they use Twitter, and rioters used Twitter, therefore they're exactly the same. Am I embarrassing myself? No no, I really haven't even started. The PC Brigade of course. For letting people have PC views about things, that means we can't even beat our kids to a meaty pulp nowadays - you just have to sit back and let them riot rather than do anything about it; there really is literally nothing you can do nowadays. We're helpless because of the namby-pamby nanny state mollycoddling these feral youths, which is why people smash up shops and set fire to things, because we weren't violent enough to them in the first place. Not having enough water cannon. Yes, water cannon. Mmm, water cannon. A great big hose to spray those nasty young boys with. That'll work. That'll make everything all right. Sure, these disturbances are over wide areas and it might appear at first that it wouldn't make any difference, but it sounds like something worth doing, doesn't it? And we might see some of these peasants getting sprayed headfirst through a shop window live on Sky News, so that'd be great to watch, while slowly masturbating, wouldn't it? Actually, shoot them. Shoot them all. Shoot them on sight. Shoot anyone. Shoot everyone. Bring in the army and shoot everyone. Shoot everyone. Shoot them now, and then it'll be all right. That will make everything better. It's not as if this all began with someone being shot, is it? Can't see any problems whatsoever if we just start shooting people on sight, and asking questions later. That'll be fine.

probably not as soul destroying however as being woken up by partying 'never-want-to-be-employed' in the flat above you at 3am when you're trying to get some kip before the days work that you know will leave you little better off than them at the end of the month

Yes, that does rather grate.

The signs were there alright, they started when we prevented schools from disciplining pupils and therefore erroded respect that children have for any authority when they were just infants, it was perpetuated when we prevented parents from disciplining their children and reinforced the belief that children can coast through life with few consequences to their actions. It continued when we erroded the value of family and created social support networks that enable people to live comfortable lives without ever having to work, entirely supported on the state with no obligation to take any responsibility for their actions or their life. It gets worse every year as this underclass of undereducated, under diciplined irresponsible individuals continues to have more an more children born into a ghetto culture where underachievement is celebrated, criminality is glorified and parental responsiblities are ignored and abdicated to the state.

Even now some people are queuing up to blame those from outside of these communities for the crimes that are being committed within them, further absolving them of responsibility and giving credence to their vacant and tired claims of victimisation. These are feral children who've been let down by their parents and overindulged by cloying liberalism that confers endless rights with no sense of responsibility. The left seems to be tripping over itself in its desire to flaggelate the law abiding citizen over this, its easy to blame the law abiding as then you don't have to deal with culprits, or admit that perhaps you've been wrong for decades on how to deal with these sort of social problems. If you balme everyone else then its easy to conclude that this is a problem that's too big to fix, instead of taking the pragmatic view of dealing swiflty and harshly with those that are guilty of committing these crimes and protecting the innocent law abiding tax payer from their vile, self destructive behaviour.

Has anyone noticed how biassed towards the goverment/police the BBC's reporting is?

Its a shame there are 14million people on the brink of dying in africa, otherwise we might get Al Jazeera reporting ACCURATELY what is happening in these riots.

It also seems anyone who comes out with a point that isnt "KILL THE ****ERS" gets flamed down by everyone else. Its just a difference in opinion. Whats wrong with that?

1732: The IPCC says the Forensic Science Service has also confirmed that the bullet lodged in a police radio was police issue and consistent with being fired from a police gun.

1729: The Independent Police Complaints commission says ballistic test results so far show no evidence that a handgun found at the scene of the fatal police shooting of Mark Duggan had been fired. It says the Forensic Science Service is carrying out further tests to confirm this.

Perhaps if cam and cleggy brought some troops back from fighting a pointless war with foreigners, and got them to stand in JJB, ARGOS AND CURRYS,AND ANY MOBILE PHONE SHOP with guns, and shoot anyone who enters.

SO EASY.

Who do you think squaddies are Elfin? saints?

I have known a few paras and whilst nice blokes, they have a certain mentality, remember killing people isn't really normal is it!

As for the weapon, i guess that comes down to what do you think is going to happen, shoot first ask questions later, or wait till you've been shot before reacting. I doubt we will ever know the truth, far to many on both sides with an agenda.

if so why? is it just so you can say 'I told you so'

What ****ing difference does that make?

This isn't an 18th Century duel, He doesn't get to have a free shot at the police before they're allowed to shoot back.

He had an illegally held, loaded weapon - we'll await further comment from the IPCC investigation that confirms his reactions to the police challenge!

As usual - the mash hits the spot:

The IPCC also took the opportunity to confirm that the pistol found at the scene WAS a live pistol, and WAS loaded with ammunition

I wonder why Elfin chose not to highlight those facts as well?

No, but it highlights the miss-information the police have been releasing so far about the events, its yet more evidence of the way the police and the press work together to create a false story and it displays the dishonest way they deal with the community.
