What is wrong with this current batch we have at home? This is a serious first world problem and is beginning to cause me untold frustration.
Why arent the two layers/plys in ****ing sync with each other!!!!!

The layers are probably out of synch; take one layer round the roll and they should hopefully return to synchronicity...

Take the top layer, pull it backwards and (un)wrap it back over the top of the roll. Sorted.

Unrolling the outer ply for one revolution sometimes gets them back in line... 🙂

I have tried the above technique and it just won't line up! It's happened on every roll so far out of this down right shoddy supermarket brand packet! A strongly worded letter may have to be sent! Should I send a sample in?

people buy toilet roll from supermarkets ? isnt that just expensive ?

costco FTW 😉 cheaper than even aldi/lidl ! - ok i need to buy 1million rolls at a time but the only thing cheaper is crapping at work.

What do you think your doing using both ply at the same time. Just think of the damage you are doing to the environment wasting all that paper.
Save the environment - "1 ply,1 sheet,1 shit" 😉

Would the Costco yearly sub pay for itself in toilet roll savings? It's a dangerous place where I once went in for a browse with a friend and spent 450 quid on dining room chairs!

oh yes wrightyson it can be dangerous .....

its the meat that pays for the yearly sub - cracking deals on GOOD meat - better than my local butcher and leaps and bounds above the supermarket(ie its not grey like tescos meat) - and priced somewhere inbetween .

Do people actually use that? This is your ring we're talking about man, you don't just scrub away at it with any old supermarket branded errrmmm, crap. Andrex or you'll pay for it later.

Costco is the place of temptation so hard not to go in and spend a small fortune I had to let my membership go. They're meat comes from Scotchbeef who supply the better quality meet to well Suoermarkets, it's very nice and fairly cheap but both my local butchers are better.

does it really matter?
just scrunch the paper up,take the thick off with it then buff yourself up with some lovely moist paper

The outer ply has to travel a slightly greater circumference and so will very gradually become misaligned with the inner ply. I suspect that the cheaper grades do not account for this in perforation spacing. Simply unravel your roll until such a time as the perforations become aligned, and then you should be good for two to three movements.

The misaligned sections can be separated, laid out side by side in a long room, a hallway or landing is ideal, or if living in a small house, outside is fine providing it is a dry and still day, and then flipped face to face together. Perhaps then try to estimate the quantity you would require on average on each visit and again, separate these sections. Then fold, don't roll, the plys together and keep in a cabinet or perhaps a lever arch file by your WC. You should find this goes someway to alleviating the issue.

Trust me - they are.... hence my sausages thread.

my old local has gone downhill as well - i was home at xmas with the intention of stocking up (flemings of arbroath) and after my xmas dinner and new years dinner i decided not to bother.

my local tesco is pish an all , the meat in costco is far superior to it .... the meat in aldi is far superior to tesco around here , steak should not be grey/brown when you take it out the packet.

Anyone has any recomendations for a good butcher near peterculter then im all ears but ive tried several round the city and they range from expensive and crap to cheap and crap ..... some medocre ones but nothing beats aldi/costco yet.....im not going to ballater every time i want meat.... but the sausages were awesome !

bog roll from costco though 😉 and i like kayaks suggestion !

Well, I suppose you could.... If you feel that strongly.
But I reckon a bit of one of the defective rolls would be more useful to them.

At least you're not living with someone who sets them up so the end hangs closest to the wall 😉

Seriously though, who does this??

The solution is above, and no it's not Costco.

And as an added bonus you get paid to dump, and shortens the working day. how awesome is that.

If I go round someones house with it set up like that, I change it to the correct way for them. I consider it a valuable contribution to humanity. 😀

@ trailrat, Sheridans in Ballater deliver to hotels and restaurants in town (Aberdeen). Call the shop and ask to speak with either Barry or Sago (the owners). They might be able to deliver to you. Failing that, they do on-line delivery from their website. The meat is vacuum sealed, and cool packs added to the packaging.
