Off in the distance, beyond the edge of the Cotswolds, directly above the seat, you can see, misty and grey, Bannau Brycheiniog! Probably Fan Fawr and Pen y Fan, they’re the two highest points, but it’s possible to see a range of hills in the distance when it’s clear like today was.
These are in the woods right next to where I was shooting at archery earlier today, the air was full of their scent. Glorious.
I like how the local crows use next door’s bird bath to soften the dry slices of bread the people on the other side throw onto the roof of their shed…
👌🏻😎
Not my picture, my friends son and his mate set off from Kirkcudbright at 6am this morning to get bus to Dumfries, train to Carlisle, bus to Keswick, then up a few hills, this was taken on Skiddaw tonight, and tomorrow they’re walking 25 miles back to Carlisle then train to Dumfries and either bus back home or I’ll pick them up.
I think he’s got a highers exam on Monday, a good walk in the hills is the type of revision that I approve of 😉
I have a Lancia Fulvia HF in my imaginary collection of classic rally cars.
