I need to insert a button into excel, that upon clicking, will execute a macro that will will email a file to "xyz@blahblah.com".
Thout it would be strightforward, but cannot for the life of me get it to work.
Excel 2002.

Worked perfectly thanks when executed from visual basic and have inserted it into properties of the command button, but when I hover over the buttom, I cannot click it to execute the file - it's still in an 'editable' object.
Any ideas?

Sounds like you are in design mode. (although we have 2007 so I can't check how to get out of it in 2002.)
Do you mean Office XP (which was '02) or are you on a Mac?
