I got a new tool box (top chest) 🙂

A 40" wide one & my word it's huge! (old one on the left)

Do you want to guess how much I paid or shall I just tell you? The box is new but it was dropped & dented in the right hand front corner but it all works as it should.

/happy 🙂

Yeh but it's still just a box for putting your tools in. 🙂

Seriously how the **** is it worth £700 ?

Or is that complete with tools?

My tools live in assorted sized plastic tool boxes, which came to about £30 in total!

Look at the shiney shiney.

Did the shop have extremely big windows, and the worlds most advanced CCTV system?

No tools, & no I wouldn't pay normal Snap-on prices, but it is a bargain, I have been offered more to sell it. Try finding me even the worst quality tool box of this size for anywhere near that price!

Is it just the blue/purple bit you purchased and not including the bottom bit?

My tool box is plastic and cost £15 now that's a bargain

Yes £700 you could buy a frame without suspension for that 😕

Like MTBers can talk about what something is worth

Mine 7 drawer from Halfords but you could brake it with a 10 mm spanner and 10 minutes of anger - about £30 iirc

Yup just the blue bit, I do except it's a fair amount of money for a "box", but it is still a bargain.
Cheers.

The door it's hidden behind doesn't look very secure, your bikes kept in there also?

Dont get me started! - My Snap-On roll cab and box? Circa £3500 inc the vat. I makes me shudder to think what I've spent on tools over the years 😯

Stainless steel ... hhhmmm ... yes, I guess.

However, £700 is still very high but then I should not be surprised with the price in UK really.

Anyway ... I want one.

The door has top & bottom shoot bolts & a hasp with a padlock, & an alarm, if thief's want to get in then what can you do to stop them?
Plus it's my house so I want it to look quite nice 😆

No not stainless steel, just powder coated normal rubbish 😉

At least Oink gets it, one of the guys at work has a monster KRL box with cabs & all, I think he said they retailed at about £7K 🙂
Also a good analogy about the bikes/frame, some people will never get what others spend on something that is unimportant to them.

Cheers.

700 hundred for a top box might seem steep and it probably is but trust me if you buy snap on you only buy once.at tbe price the op paid its ridiculous value for money

Mantastic, do you know where I live?

Thought not.

Oh & the dogs will be sure to give you a warm welcome, do you know how long it takes to get rid of the pong of border terriers ?

Bargain. I paid about £100 for my smaller Mac box that had fallen out of a van, it was well battered about. Straightened up alright & looks ok with a coat of paint.

Good find

Not as long as it takes to get rid of the smell of one of these... 😆
