Just removed a tick using a tick twister.

Is there anything else I can do to make sure its completely removed? It appear to be clear. light burning sensation in the area, normal?

any advice?

Interested too as I had my first tick encounter this morning, no mark and no burning for me.

Can't comment on the burning sensation. But Tick Twisters seem to do the trick and remove all the Tick. I think there is a 30 day window in within which a rash / red ring can occure around the bite. If you get this get yourself to the doc as it is likely you have Lymes' disease! Some antib's should sort that.

Dont worry too much about it, I get loads of them, just pick em off ASAP. Its true, you can get Lymes but the odds are pretty good.
