This vey restorable MkII Jaguar is sitting in a field next door to my sister's house in France. It's owner has stripped it of all the chrome, bonnet and boot lid.
Monsieur, get it under cover please!

Bloody hell, what a shame. ๐
That's almost criminal neglect, that.
Un tas de ferraille, elle est bonne pour la casse.
๐ That makes me sad.
make him an offer of an indoor latrine and bring her home!
I agree with Edukator.
pile of rusting old scrap, get it weighed in and buy a couple of pints........ ๐
I am with ton on this one that is a moneypit hardly a panel not needing work and thats before you see underneath.
No heated mirrors or roof rails either. ๐
(Might as well get it in before Stoner or O'Flashearty anyway ๐ )
My maternal uncle used to own a lovely wire wheeled Mk.II with O/D. He sold it when it got too expensive to run in the early late 1970s IIRC. It was immaculate. He got peanuts for it.
Here's a couple more, taken in Le Pre, near Les Arcs a few weeks ago...

My son wanted to know if we could take the DS home and restore it!
Yeah,I can't see any problems with that apart from it being one of the most complex old cars to restore and being located half way up an Alp 800 miles from home!
So thats where Withnal ended up.
Glad to see the French custom of keeping classics in the garden alive and well .... ๐
DS please ..
Oh, it's not just the French........ Behind a small hotel in Wiltshire:

Oooo I like that Renault van ... there's something I thought I'd never say ..

Meanwhile, in Qatar.....
There's loads of uber expensive cars abandoned in the Arab states, it all happened after the bubble burst a couple of years ago. Pitty, that 220 is worth 3 x what it was new...
Legoman I was in that hotel a while back. Very quaint with expensive food if I recall.
That Bentley Turbo is ved'd until the end of October, so not long 'abandoned'.

Yeah, me too.
Do painting of it Mcmoonter, just like it is now, before it disappears.
Win win..The car (sorta) gets saved and you make money rather than spending it. ๐
Chris - that sounds like the one, it's near Bradford-on-Avon. He's got a load more cars in a barn out back.
Gary - didn't look like it had been there long, apart from the flat tyres it was mint. Someone had made a half-arsed attempt to cover it but the cover was on the floor.
I can't for the life of me remember where it is, but somewhere in north London there's a hedge growing through a landrover. Kinda like this:
