I've just watched johnny marr play 'There is a light that never goes out' to about 300 people in the deaf institute in town! I almost cried. If you'd have had Jim fix something for me, that'd be it!

Stuff you never even dreamed you would see but you have please....? Blubbing potential optional 😀

A volcanic eruption.
I saw mount Etna erupt in 2007 (same weekend Luciano Pavarotti died) from a few hundred meters away.
Stunning, a true force of nature.

My 35th birthday, which is today.

My specialist gave me less than two years to live, on the 3rd November 2009.

Granted, there's still a month for that particular landmark, but I'll do my best not to peg it in the next thirty odd days... 😉

After Bullheart my one of watching a salmon being chased by an otter in a river in the south of England seems a little lame......

Happy Birthday Petesgaff

I'd steer clear of your consultant for the next month though. You know these medical types, they're always making bets with their oncology mates and maybe he was so sure of his diagnosis that he's wagered big, and will be looking to deliver one way or the other.

Happy Birthday Mark!

Great to see you and Megan looking so well on Saturday night - we'll come over to you next time.
I hope you got back in time to rescue the pi55ing dog.

I hear that cake is very good for your specific condition; but only if consumed in Hattie Jacques size proportions.

Good work Bullheart, that's awesome.

Not sure if you could describe it as something i'd never see, maybe something more unexplainable - many years ago I was motoring over the top of a blind crest in my car only to find three bison in the middle of the road on the other side - I was going too fast to stop so just did what comes naturally to anyone in that situation - screamed shhhhh********* and closed my eyes and braced for impact - after a second, and the realisation I heard or felt no impact - I opened my eyes and was still driving perfectly fine along the road and looking in my rear-view mirror there were the three bison, still in the middle of the road. Still to this day I have no idea what happened.

DISAPPOINTED.

I thought I was gonna read "A dozen or more arses going up and down, up and down in the flood of my Lupine as I neared the ford"

Just as I found them, Electralane (all girl band) broke up for an indefinite time, there was really no sign they'd ever get back together which was a nightmare as they got me through some harsh times. They reformed this year for a summer tour and I bought tickets, Saw them at the Big Chill. They were Lush

well done Bullheart

Bloomin ek Bullheart congrats and don't drop off the planet just yet, too many rides to do!! Good work!

Heading towards the OP again, erm..

Didn't think I'd see the top of the Stelvio Pass year before last when I did a "follow the Giro" I almost died the pace was so high. So too Paris-Roubaix last year (broke my elbow and two fingers)

I saw The Chameleons play Swamp Thing at Manchetser Acadamy on their come back tour in 2000. Very emotional for all the middle aged blokes in the room. 😳

My disabled brother win an Olympic gold medal for the cycling time trial in the Special Olympics. Not bad considering he was not expected to live past childhood (and he's 39 now!)

If I were Bullheart I'd be tempted to be really careful not to die of something else in the next few years - that'd be sod's law, wouldn't it?

That's a goodpoint. I'd steer clear of any Acme rocket powered roller skates. No matter how much fun it looks. And if you see a grand piano being hoisted up on some kind of makeshift pulley, maybe take an alternative route 😉

I never thought I'd see sunlight gently glancing off huge invisible cogs suspended in space and time. But I did. And Gridzones.

Happy Birthday Bullheart, I hope you get very, very drunk tonight. 😛

I once saw Elvis riding a bike through Covent Garden with bike clips on his flare, and Sid Vicious riding the tube.

I also saw my clothes turn into a crocodile and try and eat me, whilst I hid under the bed
.
.
.

I never did mushrooms again.

I missed the chance for Bladerunner references so I'd have to say I never thought I'd see an elephant fly.

Happy birthday, Bullheart. I think the rest of the thread's going to a bit of an anticlimax after that.

Me, I've seen a rocket launch. I was on Satellite Beach across the bay from Cape Canveral. Awesome in the literal sense of the word.

A post by TJ including the words, "You're right, I was completely wrong about that. Sorry"

I guess there's about as much chance of that happening as is there is of my seeing sea breams glittering in the dark near the tannhauser gate

tops 5. He's doing Thursday night too. Apparently they're keeping about 30 tickets back on the door on the night. But you'll need to be there for 7.30

Well worth it though. He played How Soon is Now too. I nearly wet myself with excitement 😀

BoardinBob - I'm held in very high esteem in that part of town 😉
