Hi chaps

My missus has shingles, and she's really fed up and bored. She can't go outside, exercise or do very much.

She's been doing jigsaws and watching TV, but I want to find something to take her mind off the pain she's in.

Any suggestions for things to do, that'll keep her mind busy?

Cheers

Ricks

Buying bits and building bikes is usually the best cure.

2nd vote for computer games.
Find the right one and several days can pass without noticing the real world.

My missus has shingles

My commiserations to her.
Been there. Hid in a dark room in pain for two weeks.
The recovery for me was slow - I was exhausted at work for a month, not 'right' for three.

Just found myself signed off work until the middle of next week and ordered not to work from home. Some sort of viral infection. I'm reading lots and thanks to this thread may dive into an old playstation game or two now...

I immersed myself in Super Mario Galaxy last time I was off for a few days, that was brilliant.

I had a few days off recently and went into Netflix binge mode, not necessarily a great way to go but getting sunk into a storyline can be better than just general TV.

Alternatively research into future trips can be good too.

Shaw academy is a website that does online courses, many of which are free and may hold her interest for a bit?

Binge watch box sets. 'Sons of Anarchy' and 'Vikings' are both gripping.

Battlefield 1 for sure. Although I was was ill with a really bad cold for a week recently and hardly played it as it does need a clear mind and good concentration.

A second for binge watching Vikings. Goliath is also a great series. Can't beat a bit of binge watching. That, or start playing one of the Elder Scrolls, Witcher or Fallout games. She may need an extra couple of weeks off if she likes them.

Only if, like my wife, you're actually the shell of an adult around an 8 year old child.
