To make it look better? Seems fair to me. Nice pic too.

I just didnt open up the website to find the pic and say "wow, thats really nice"

instead i frown, lose it all for a brief moment and ask myself "why have they done that white misty patch with some sort of airbrushy thing?!"

sorry, i dont have photoshop so the airbrushy thing is what i would know it as! I like the pic but would like it more if it wasnt butchered.

IMO it looks like snow falling off the trees.. as that day i was seeing the same thing locally.

as in http://www.flickr.com/photos/pimpmasterjazz/4255019712/in/photostream/ would be more photoshop by him as well?

It's my photo - the 'mistified' bit is snow coming off a falling tree and nothing to do with any post-production work, which is why Rich and Mark are staring at it. 😀

I did do some Photoshop work on it, but it was a tiny bit of cloning (nowhere near the 'misty' bit), some sharpening and converting it from colour to monochrome. As a rule, I'm not a big fan of massively altering photos after they're taken.

Thanks for the compliments!

i drove up there last year for the demo day (canx) in the snow, i figured the road would have been impassable the last couple of weeks.

just goes to show.

might pop up on sunday to see whats been happening

I wouldn't - it's shut after the recent snow. The road was impassable, but is OK now. However, the thawing snow is going to turn the place into a chalky, rooty skid-pan.

It would have been better even if it wasn't the natural image, as it makes the people stand out more against the trees. It's a nice shot.

At least it's black and white. No ginger content.
