It was nicely put together but the story was a bit poor when you think about it... I think this is good example of the fact that if the BBC put a drama on I will watch it ( even if the plot is a bit gash) just because there is really nothing else on the TV worth watching.

Plot was like a drawn out mediocre episode of the bill. the scots detective said murder like taggart. it was ridiculed with cliches. but the actress who played the deaf girl is talented and just about saved the show. not one for the dvd collection.

I thought it was really good right up until the ending, which was absolute gash.

i agree with poddy, difficult to get an original plot for a police procedural so the way its done ends up being more important and aside from the ending (i dont mind a bit of ambiguity but there was so so much left unresolved such as colleagues outside drug squad and their fates) i thought it was played out well. rather than a main couple and cardboard cut outs for the rest there was a range of talent. liked it.

Got to the end of episode 2 - got bored - too many holes in the plot for me to believe (I know, it's only made up..)
MrsMM watched the remainder and was also suitably unimpressed with the ending...
Agree though - lead actress was pretty good.

That'll be deleted from my planner tonight then 😉

agreed - ending was absolutly shocking, felt like i had wasted 4 hours watching them 🙁 dont get me wrong it was quality and probably the best thing ive seen in a while other than Luther, but the ending was ATTROCIOUS 🙁 it made me furious, so many things left with no ending on any of them 🙁

I don't normally watch TV dramas as they are all the same and often contrived but watched this one for some reason.
It was ok, but cliched and was dragged out in the middle and then ended too abruptly, maybe they're leaving it open for a follow up.
Have to disagree on the actress playing Amelia, looked out of place at times next to the other decent actors, and was a bit Kevin & Perry teenager for me.
