The local cycling tracks round my end seem to be leading non-roadies to this assumption as to what 'offroad' riding is:

Local thing. They make such a hoo-haw about cycling round here and all we have are highway and sustrans gravel-like flat paths. I'd rather ride a turbo trainer in front of the TV (and I don't have a TV) than ride anywhere within 13 miles of me.

Good job they only make a hoo-haw about cycling then, and not about mountain biking ๐Ÿ˜‰

They are taking applications for 200 cyclists to follow the olympic flame. I may apply and strap as many fire extinguishers to my bike as I can. Just in case I spot smoke.

You're telling me there aren't any trails going down through those trees on the hillside in the background? REALLY?
Go make some.

Where is that BTW?
