Was a bit sceptical about this, but watched it last night. Excellent film and Ralph Feinnes is brilliant

We've watched glass onion 2, weight of massive talent, and now the menu.

I'm not allowed to pick another film for a bit as they've all been a bit too weird for mrssirromj.

Good job I didn't make her watch everything everywhere 🤣

Have to admit thought when I first saw trailer for the menu I said I wasnt going to watch it.

Enjoyed The Menu

...plus now annoying the family at mealtimes by clapping loudly and proclaiming 'do not eat the food, taste the food'

Great movie, though I think Anya Taylor-Joy might actually be CGI.

Mrskennerley picked White Noise last night and ended up regretting her own choice on weirdness grounds.

I lasted about 10mins of White Noise. Indeed dog and shit.

I really liked White Noise.

I especially liked the tribute to Gursky's 99 cent in the supermarket scene and the dancing in the closing credits. Great stuff.

The Glass Onion was pretty poor though.

Also really enjoyed The Menu. What’s the unanswered question at the end though? My simple mind saw everything in the plot neatly tidied up.

Without giving too much away....
Remember what was said when the diners went to the smoke house....
And then the vary last thing you saw Margot doing.

The Q is, did she or didn't she?
!!

(Or maybe everyone else saw it and I'm being slow 😆)

Really enjoyed The Menu

My favourite line:
"My art turns to shit inside your body"

He's got a point!

Knives Out 2 (Glass Onion) was pretty poor and even more of a celeb-fest than the first, which I quite enjoyed

Have to disagree, really enjoyed the 2nd one, where I was underwhelmed by the first.

Have to say i didn't really enjoy the menu, thought it was a bit of a poor plot, with some bad characters, the ending was just meh, it just felt like a pretentious film about pretentious people in a pretentious setting with some odd endgame.

Baring the end of I thought it was a brilliantly done reconstruction to be honest.

Really enjoyed it but there wasn't really much of a gap between documentation and satire. Except maybe the price, not a chance it was only $1,250 a head

Anya Taylor Joy is the real thing. A great actor and not afraid to 'have a go'.
I've not seen the menu yet, but it was recommended to me a few days ago.

Watched The Menu saturday night, weird but I enjoyed it. Makes more sense now I've read up on it since. Really wanted a cheeseburger afterwards! Somewhat of a contrast to the missus' choice of film earlier on (Mortal Kombat)
