Anyone else looking forward to this? I have no favourites but as long as some European hopefully UK golfer sticks it to the Yanks. A bit like an everyman for himself Ryder cup.

Yup looking forward to it. Although MTBing and golf are perhaps not the most complimentary hobbies, I enjoy a bit of both.

I wasn’t sure there would be many golfers on here.

What colour pants will Poulter wear? I like his approach – if your going to do it go for it.

I've gone with Luke Donald to win.

I'd backed Westwood E/W last year, so hopefully do one better this year.

Poults and Daley the two characters worth looking out for.

+1 Luke Donald

I gave up golf and bought a mountain bike - is that a good link?

I had a free bet with Paddy Power, so my punt on Donald is £20 to win at 28/1!

{Edit - no, I went E/W now I look again}

Poulter’s web site is class – I’m loving the Ford GT in the garage but I would have thought his cars would have more bling.

I can’t access betting sites at work. What odds on Justin Rose?

35/1 for Rose on Paddy Power at the moment

A bit steep that on Rose but he might be there at the end.

I spotted this on the BBC commentary RE Mickelson:

“is replicating his tactic from his win last year in employing two drivers, one with a fade bias and the other with a draw. Perfect material for Augusta success.”

I could do with those although I’d have to know when I’m about to slice it and when in going to hook it.

1 Fisher Eng -4 13
1 Goosen SA -4 6
3 McIlroy NI -3 7
4 Baddeley Aus -2 8
4 Fujita Jpn -2 6
4 Kuchar US -2 4

Two drivers - this is the Masters - surely a potential winner can draw or fade the ball at will?

Maybe you can't with these modern drivers with stupidly big heads - a pro like Mickleson should be able to use a smaller head but his sponsors want him to use the huge drivers so they can sell bucketloads if he wins.

Should be good but I normally wait until the last round before having a punt.

Of course they can but a bias will undoubtedly help, even if it's just a confidence booster.

Would love Rory to finish it off in style, he's got to have learnt a lot from the disaster 2nd round at St Andrews. Also gunning for Luke Donald to do well. Looking forward to a night in front of the golf!
