Somewhere in the house is Mrs Q's camera. We don't know where, but we know it's in here somewhere, but since the move 3 months ago we haven't been able to find it.
Do we bite the bullet and buy a new one in time for Christmas in the inevitability that the original one will turn up mid January. Or should I stick to my wallet pinching routes and not buy one knowing that one day the camera will resurface when we least expect it.

Everywhere we can think of. Including the same bags where we used to carry it several times over.
It is possible it has been lost or nicked, but we can't see how.
It was a 12megpixel Casio Exilim. It would have lasted her for years....until I (she says it was anyway) lost it.
If I can face it, Tesco has a Samsung S28 that will do the job for now.

You need to buy a reasonably expensive replacement. As soon as you do, the old one will reappear in the bag you've both checked several times.
You know you haven't spent enough on the replacement if the old camera doesn't reappear...

Either in the side pocket of a bag. In a drawer or in a jacket.
Possibly it was the case in a drawer but can never quite remember.
I can feel that bullet being bit tomorrow with Christmas and an ever growing fat pregnant belly (hers not mine) to catch on camera
