We're all modern up here, we've got a proper tumble dryer instead of one of those.

Pasta? 2007 wants its food fad back.
For the urbane man about town it's all about pulled pork from a pop-up restaurant and even that is starting to wane.
Are you posting from the grim north? Still wearing snow-wash double denim?

I didn't match much at all in the other 'typical STWer' thread, but I do have a pasta roller.

It doesn't get used much, but might just get roller out Sat. lunchtime 🙂

[IMG] [/IMG]

I've just installed this in the cellar.

It generates just under 1kW with the reactor operating in its top range. Not quite enough for the ring main but it copes fine with the lighting circuit.

Waste fuel rods are small in number but still a problem to dispose of.
A bit like my old porrrrno mag's !

Pasta? How 1990's.
Pollenta? How 1990's.

MrSmith has it. It's all about getting someone else to do Niche* cheap/easy food for you these days and no, that doesn't include Pizzas from Dominos.

*bit more expensive than you would want to pay, but you are on the move so it seems ok, so long as you only do it 4 times a week (but wind up doing it 5)

Is plain old dried pasta just fresh pasta that has been dried? (thats how I make my dried pasta, with my machine that looks exactly like the machine in the OP - still don't own an audi though.)

Yes, we have a pasta roller. It's the least used kitchen tool we have, mainly because it takes so effing lone. Pasta tastes great, though.

Hmm. It's idiet day off tomorrow. If I get up very early, I could have some nice ravioli ready for lunch....

I got one for Christmas in '08. I used it once for tagl... talg... tagliat...... pasta ribbbons.
messy, laborious, time consuming and annoying. it went to a charity shop after last year's house move.

You just need to practice with it.

5 mins to make the dough.
60 mins in the fridge to rest.
10 mins rolling and ravioli making. You could do tagliateli in a couple of minutes.

Job done.

Anyone who uses a pasta roller and thinks using a grinder/home espresso machine 'is a faff' is a hypocritical cretin who needs a slap (with a dolphin friendly line caught fish)

I sincerely hope it's toe-nails.

Otherwise, it'd go well with that heating gadget with the horns.

dunno, quick google and I can't find the info, thought it was in an old STW actually, diet/training article. Pretty sure they said durum wheat pasta was the one to go for, google suggests durum pasta for carbo loading before a race but other pastas are better for general nutrition.

I asked for one for Xmas and got an imperio proper one. Broke the cheapo one I had before so it was a considered choice and worth the expense. Plus food is one of my main hobbies, and cooking is how I relax in an evening. fresh pasta tastes amazing!

There was one on Flog it recently. Very William Gibson. There's also an antique shop in Glastonbury that specialises in instruments has, or had, several in the window.
