Richard Hammond and Tori Belleci have a new show starting Jan 29th, looks like an over the top version of scrap heap challenge set on a desert island, a bit of infantile humour is just what we need

Really? More ‘ten-bob telly’ for idiots, I wish I was so easily entertained.

I put this on last night as some idle work avoidance on one screen with dull spreadsheet on the other.

WTF was that? I'm confused - is it meant for children as a sort of stealth engineering/science education programme? Surely it's not meant for adults? It makes TG/TGT seem like high art, and Brainiac akin to the Open University.

I watched a couple yesterday and thought the same. Some very good hidden education in there but overall it felt like something to entertain 10 year olds. Certainly background noise TV

Brian here. If you liked Great Escapists you’ll love ‘Celebrities Stare at Mud’ coming soon on channel 4. Each week an ex Top Gear presenter and someone you might vaguely remember from Brookside stare at mud. I can’t wait.

Watched the first episode. I say watched, I spend 90% of it glancing over my phone at it. What a load of tosh....

Excellent family viewing. In our household it engrossed a 4yo boy, 9yo girl and was fairly entertaining for us, their parents.

PS: Agree egg race was brill as was Rough Science. The latter isn't really family viewing suitable for a 4yo, though.
