So, watched the first film without reading the book, enjoyed it. Watched the second one last night and enjoyed it, until she got shot three times,gut buried in a grave, spent many hours in said grave and then climbed out. WTF?
I know it's a film and they can do what they like, but it spoiled a very good film IMO.
I thought the first one was great. Really unsettling atmosphere created by that photo (although I could have done without all the on-screen rape). But I thought the second 2 were much more generic thriller material.
I enjoyed them, but I never really thought it re-captured the haunting spirit of the first.
My faulty memory doesn't remember her being buried alive for 'hours' but you kind of already know that she's going to make it, because it's a trilogy starting with "The girl who..."
