Years ago I remember reading an article about a guy who'd stolen a yacht from Liverpool with the intention of sailing to America... He ran aground in the Bristol Channel having in his words "turned left instead of right" and vowed to steal a plane next time so he wouldn't have to steer around Ireland 😀
