Sat lonely, abandoned, forsaken and forlorn in my local rescue centre, deaf and with a rapidly failing ticker! - could she be any more deserving?

Come on Singletrack dog lovers - give a quid if you can spare it (tag STW), and feel good for the rest of the day!

£5k seems a bargin for a heart op!

As for Dan74's comment, presumably that covers at least 2 vets, a nurse, a surgery, all its bills, supplies, and a shed load of drugs. And if they all worked for free, who would have paid for their training, they probably have student loans, and by being paid, pay taxes which pay more students tuition etc etc etc............

Thanks for your input Dan. I'll put you down as an unlikely shall I?

£5000 does, I agree, sound ridiculous, but the charity is both well respected and long established, so I don't doubt the legitimacy for a second.

I also have found and adopted my pets from them and visit regularly to walk rescue dogs.

would it be overly heartless to suggest that one simple cheap injection might be the best option for all concerned?

Sorted - looks like a worthwhile cause. If you are of the soppy dog persuasion (like me) put it on your FB page!

I feel heartless for saying this, but this seems ridiculous to me, poor thing wants putting down.

Have one as a family pet, live with it for 15+ years, enjoy its unquestioning loyalty through thick and thin, becomes a member of the family ... non doggie people simply won't get it, quite a few others will though.

doggie people..... thank you

I spent half an hour with Rose this weekend and she's a complete sweetie...I wish I had £5k disposable...66% there though - so fingers crossed.

Non doggie people - completely understand, each to their own....for example I'm led to believe that some people even like riding singlespeeds 😉
