I tried showing my kids stuff like that. All they seem to do is laugh at the hair cuts, glasses and clothing of the participants.

Health and safety law meant that they couldn't use the Vortex any more!

I stumbled across Crystal Maze re-runs the other day.

My four year old was fascinated:

Her: "Why do they keep running around?"
Me: "I dunno. Trying to add a false sense of drama and urgency I guess"

Her: "They're not very clever are they?"
Me: "Mmmmmm..."
