Am I the only one who thinks that The Black Keys sound like an Asda version of T Rex?

Are they like The Black Eyed Peas, but with one less member?

Kinda ambivalent about this as a long term fan, worried I'd be disappointed and not too enamoured of their new sound, what with bass players, backing singers et al.

Saw them live in a smaller venue some years ago (Cockpit, Leeds) and they were incredible, but not sure that energy would be possible to generate in a bigger "shed" so perhaps I'll stick to my memories - every time I hear that recent single (the one that sounds like an old Cult song, but can't figure out which one) I have to go and listen to something from one of their early, rawer albums

(btw, I'm not one of those "they were cool before everyone knew them but now they've sold out" types, I also saw Muse when they were smalltime and feel the opposite - they seemed like a band who warranted a big stage and I think they're 100x times better as a live act now in massive arenas then they were as an opening act at Brixton Academy. But conversely, I think the Black Keys are probably the sort of band who are/were more fun in a sweaty club than a big shed)
