Corrs[/url]?
planxty
if that's the only choice I'd have to go with U2. But Andrea Corr is better looking than Bono.
If other choices are available I'd have to go with Stiff Little Fingers or The Undertones
Nah, gotta be Clannad.
Or The Stunning.
The Undertones.
please tell me it is a fight to the death
Andrea Corr is better looking than Bono.
Wouldn't you be following Robbie though? Not a pleasant thought.
SLF.
eh?
B*witched
What about The Pogues or Van Morrison?
Either, I don't mind, they're both brilliant at what they do....
But "best of ireland?". Now that's a question!!!!!

I'd prefer to look at the Corrs from behind than U2. As for music, The Pogues beat them both into a cocked hat..
At least they sound Irish even if most of them aren't.
And Gary Moore or Lizzy trump em all 😉
I'll go for The Dubliners.
+1 Planxty and Christy Moore
and maybe the Wolfe Tones
Mulligan & O'Hare surely?
I'm with captjon. They were sisters too 😉
Kerbdog
Excellent band that just repeatedly make me get up and bounce.
Nah, Van Morrison and Gary Moore.
Thread closed. 🙂
Or there is always Podge and Rodge:
Worth the listen 🙂
'48hours on the bowl...a spiders crawled right you your...'

Bell X1 (the band not the plane)
Gemma Hayes
A fine Tipp woman indeed. I saw her supporting the Counting Crows a few years back - always thought she deserves more success than she's had - but she's in a genre with a lot of competition.
Now, I know ****-all about Thin Lizzy but as for:
how many in each band were/are actually Irish?
I know little of Thin Lizzy's line-up, I did think that there were more Irish members than Lynott though...perhaps someone can wiki this or something as I'm on a phone.
As for U2, Bono and Larry Mullen were both Irish by birth and grew up in Dublin. Teh Edge arrived shortly after birth (with his folks I presume) and Clayton moved there also as a very young child. So it's safe to say that they're as Irish as they need to be really - that's where they were raised.
Not defending their music or their domicile outside Ireland in later years for tax purpose by any stretch, but let's not let facts get in the way of musical prejudice eh?
Lads, I think we need a bit of Horslips to get you back on track.....
