Very fond memories of the birth of home computing in the early 80's. I used a BBC at school, a couple of friends had Electrons, but I had a ZX81 at home, then a 48k Speccy and the a Spectrum+ 128k. Awesome.

Is it 'Show and Tell' day? If so I'll dig out a picture of my Raleigh Chipper bike, I was quicker than Barry Sheene on that baby.

There's a BBC with a twin disk drive next to me on top of a cubboard.
Would be great to get Elite on it, but god knows how i'm going to get that onto a floppy now.

an amazing example of how a public service broadcaster, some public money and a private company can enthuse a generation for technology.

And look at what they have done today. The new homepage on their site is absolutely shocking.

Ianmunro why are you on top of a cupboard? I think I have a 5.5" drive that would plug into my pc...no idea where the code would come from but drives can be picked up from places...go on, dare you!

It is noisy (my eyes don't know where to rest) , some links don't look clickable, some content that was on page is now a click away, it seems to have regressed into giving me what it thinks I want rather than me being able to see what I want.
