This useless shower of an organisation couldn't organise a social in brewery...
1st we had the 'oh, it does not normally take three attempts to set up a direct debit' fiasco.
2nd we had the 'oops we blocked your card for no reason, did not inform you and did not send out new ones, our bad' debacle.
3rd I now have the 'sorry you cannot close your account, the account is locked for security reasons but we won't tell you what happened to cause this, or close you account, until we send you new security information...' idiocy.

I avoid buying fruit and vegetables from Tesco if I can, if they can not manage lettuce and tomatoes the idea of Banking with them is ridiculous.
Threaten to write to the FSA quoting the phrase "financially disadvantaged".
Tesco- only good for robbing 😉
Having some experience of their infrastructure, I choose not to do my banking with this organisation.
lots of clubcard points as compensation though.
