Found a 2006 2.2d for £3995.78000 miles. I know they're based on a Mondeo but is there anything to look out for?

was going to say its an expensive way to buy a mondeo, but you've got that covered.
Lots of nice tos and gadgets, make sure they all work etc. also, check the exhaust, my dad had trouble with his and was replaced twice under warranty.

Auto or manual?
I was really keen on getting one until I drove one (a manual). There was nowhere to put my left foot except on the clutch pedal or to wiggle it underneath. Would have driven me potty on a long journey.

Mines done 113000 from new. Easy to live with ,generally reliable. Same strengths and weaknesses as a Mondeo. Still on the original exhaust,
